SUMMARY:OPTI-6G presented in the SNS Webinar – Introducing the Call 2 SNS projects (Part 1 of 2)
DESCRIPTION:The European Smart Networks and Services Joint Undertaking (SNS JU) is a Public-Private Partnership that aims to facilitate and develop industrial leadership in Europe in 5G and 6G networks and services. The SNS JU funds projects that shape a solid research and innovation (R&I) roadmap and deployment agenda by engaging a critical mass of European stakeholders and facilitating international cooperation on various 6G initiatives. \nIn January 2024\, the second phase of its 6G projects was launched\, which is critical in establishing a solid research and innovation (R&I) foundation for Europe\, defining the next-generation networks. \nWe are now introducing the recently launched projects in two webinars\, to give an overview of their activities and ambitions. \nThe first of these webinars is planned for Thursday 7/03/2024 from 13:00 CET to 16:15 CET. This first webinar will present Stream B1 (System Architecture)\, B3 (Communication Infrastructure Technologies and Devices) and B4 (Reliable Services and Smart Security) projects according to the agenda below. \n_____________________ \nAs for the SNS Webinar presenting the Call 1 SNS projects\, videos of the SNS Call 2 projects can be found on the SNS YouTube Channel in a dedicated playlist \n_____________________ \n \n  \n  \nOPTI-6G will present at: \n\n\n\n14:40\nStream B-B3\nOPTI-6G\nAdam Kapovits\nEurescom\, Coordinator\nSlides\nVideo\n\n\n\n  \n  \n  \n  \nFull agenda is available here \n  \n\n\n\nTIME\nSTREAM\nPROJECT ACRONYM\nPRESENTER\nPRESENTER AFFILIATION & PROJECT ROLE\nSLIDES & VIDEO\n\n\n\n\n13:00\nWelcome\nModerator\nUwe Herzog\nEurescom\, SNS OPS Coordinator\nSlides\nVideo\n\n\n13:05\nWelcome from 6G-IA\n6G-IA\nColin Willcock\n6G SNS GB Chair\, 6G-IA Chair\nSlides\nVideo\n\n\n13:10\nSNS JU opening remarks\nSNS JU Office\nJavier Albares\nSNS JU \, Head of Programmes\nSlides\nVideo\n\n\n\nStreams B1 orientations and expected outcomes\nSNS JU Office\nOdysseas Pyrovolakis\nSNS JU\, Programme Officer\nSlides\nVideo\n\n\n13:15\nStream B-B1\n6G-CLOUD\nTao Chen\nVTT\, Coordinator\nSlides\nVideo\n\n\n13:25\nStream B-B1\n6G-INTENSE\nChristos Verikoukis\nISI/ATHENA\, Coordinator\nSlides\nVideo\n\n\n13:35\nStream B-B1\n6G-TWIN\nSébastien Faye\nLuxembourg Institute of Science and Technology\, Coord. and TM\nSlides\nVideo\n\n\n13:45\nStream B-B1\nEXIGENCE\nRita Campos\nf6s\, Coordinator\nSlides\nVideo\n\n\n13:55\nStream B-B1\nORIGAMI\nAndres Garcia-Saavedra\nNEC Lab\, Technical Manager\nSlides\nVideo\n\n\n14:05\nQ&A for Stream B1\n\n\n\n\n\n\n14:15\nStreams B3 and B4 orientations and expected outcomes\nSNS JU Office\nMarinos Charalambides\nSNS JU\, Project Officer\nSlides\nVideo\n\n\n14:20\nStream B-B3\n6G-EWOC\nJose Antonio Lazaro Villa\nUPC\, Coordinator\nSlides\nVideo\n\n\n14:30\nStream B-B3\nECO-eNET\nPaolo Monti\nChalmers\, Coordinator\nSlides\nVideo\n\n\n14:40\nStream B-B3\nOPTI-6G\nAdam Kapovits\nEurescom\, Coordinator\nSlides\nVideo\n\n\n14:50\nStream B-B3\nPROTEUS-6G\nIoannis Tomkos\nUniv. of Patras\, Coordinator\nSlides\nVideo\n\n\n15:00\nQ&A for Stream B3\n\n\n\n\n\n\n15:10\nStream B-B4\niTrust6G\nMir Ghoraishi\nGigasys Solutions\, Coordinator\nSlides\nVideo\n\n\n15:20\nStream B-B4\nELASTIC\nSotiris Ioannidis\nTechn. SUMMARY:Join us at MWC Barcelona to meet SNS JU projects including us!
DESCRIPTION:The Smart and Services Joint Undertaking (SNS JU) will host a “6G Horizon” session at Mobile World Congress 2024 to explore the next frontier of wireless communication technology: 6G. In a world that’s constantly evolving\, it is essential to explore the potential of next-generation communications from every conceivable angle\, which is why we have organized this 90-minute session: “Bridging Perspectives for a Sustainable Future.” \nThe OPTI-6G project will also be present and information will be shared at the SNS booth!  \nAs we embark on this journey into the 6G territory\, it’s imperative to recognize that this technological leap will not be just about faster downloads or lower latency. Rather\, it encompasses a multidimensional landscape that spans business\, technical\, and societal domains. In this session\, we will explore the multifaceted case for 6G\, acknowledging that multiple stakeholders bring diverse views to the table. This conference serves as a crucial platform to foster understanding and harmonize these varied perspectives. The dynamic interplay between industry leaders\, innovators\, policymakers\, and researchers will drive us closer to a collective vision of what 6G can and should be. We believe that through such collaborative efforts\, we can unlock the full potential of 6G technology. \nIn this session\, we will also delve into the distinct European perspective on 6G\, highlighting the strong tradition of public-private collaboration that has been instrumental in shaping the continent’s technological landscape. We will also emphasize the vital interfaces between 6G and various vertical industries\, paving the way for transformative applications and services. \nFurthermore\, our discussion will underscore the profound impact of 6G on areas as critical as sustainability and cybersecurity. As we move towards a more connected and data-driven world\, 6G has the potential to revolutionize how we approach future challenges\, offering innovative solutions for resource optimization and data sovereignty. \n  \n \nMore info: https://smart-networks.europa.eu/event/sns-ju-at-mwc-6g-horizon-session/
